Privacy Policy
Version 2026-10-16 · DRAFT
DRAFT: counsel must review before launch. This is a starting text written by the product team. It is not legal advice and must be reviewed by a lawyer before outside customers rely on it. Bracketed items need a decision.
This Privacy Policy explains how [legal entity name], doing business as Sell For Me ("we", "us"), collects and uses personal information when businesses use Sell For Me ("the Service") and when we contact people on their behalf.
1. Who this covers
- Customers: the businesses that hold accounts and their team members.
- Leads: the people our customers' AI reps call, text or email.
- Visitors: people who visit our websites and forms.
For leads, the customer business decides who is contacted and why. We process leads' information for that customer. Questions about why a business contacted you should go to that business; you can also contact us (section 8).
2. What we collect
- Account information: name, business name, email, phone, password (stored hashed), and billing details (card details are held by our payment processor, Stripe, never by us).
- Lead information our customers provide or connect: names, phone numbers, emails, addresses, notes, consent records and CRM data.
- Calls and messages: call recordings where enabled, transcripts, texts, emails, outcomes and summaries.
- Technical information: IP address (stored as a one-way hash for sign-up limits and terms acceptance records), browser, device and usage data, and security logs.
3. How we use it
- To provide the Service: place and answer calls, send texts and emails, book appointments.
- To keep people safe and follow the law: honor opt-outs and do-not-call lists, apply calling hours, disclose AI, detect abuse, and review calls for violations of our Acceptable Use Policy.
- To bill, support and secure accounts, and to improve the Service.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not use leads' information to market our own products to them.
4. AI and automated processing
Calls and messages are handled by AI models from our providers. Transcripts may be analyzed automatically to write summaries, coach reps, and check for safety and compliance problems. People can review the result of those checks.
5. Sharing
We share personal information only with: the customer business the information belongs to; service providers that run the Service for us (for example telephony, AI model, hosting, email and payment providers) under contracts that protect it; carriers, payment processors, regulators or law enforcement when the law requires it or to stop abuse; and a buyer of our business, under this policy. [Counsel: list sub-processors.]
6. Keeping and deleting
We keep information while an account is active and as long as needed for the purposes above or the law (for example consent and opt-out records). Customers can delete their data; recordings follow the plan's retention period. Opt-out records are kept so the opt-out keeps working.
7. Your choices and rights
- Stop calls or texts: tell the rep, reply STOP, or contact us. Opt-outs apply on every channel at once.
- Depending on where you live (for example California), you may have the right to know, access, correct or delete your information and to appeal a decision. Contact us to use them. We will not treat you differently for using them. [Counsel: state-specific disclosures.]
8. Contact
[privacy@sellforme.ai], [postal address].
9. Changes
We may update this policy. When we make a material change we publish a new version, and account holders must accept it the next time they sign in.
